THE MERLIN FOUNDATION AT A GLANCE
A Distinct Mission
The Merlin Foundation knows that our strength lies not only in the words we stand by, but most importantly through the actions of our initiatives. Founded in 1993 by the late Merlin Leach, our Non-Profit Organization realizes that by giving the women and families in our community education opportunities and trainings, we can overcome our challenges much more efficiently.
The Merlin Foundation not only helps address gaps in the community in helping
women and children in poverty, but also provides health education, social services, and advocacy on behalf of children, women, and families to make tomorrow better than today for future generations.
In 2010 The Merlin Foundation helped to launch its sister organization,
“Grandma’s House Children's Advocacy Center”, whose purposes are to assist in the investigation of child abuse and neglect allegations, provide tracking of the process, ensure maximum services are provided to the victims, and protect the child from additional systemic trauma which often occurs in complex medical and legal actions.
